Na het afronden van zijn bacheloropleiding aan het Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia in Rome vervolgt Ettore Pagano nu zijn studies aan de Universität der Künste Berlin bij Jens Peter Maintz. In 2025 ontving hij de Premio Abbiati van de Italian Music Critics Association. In hetzelfde jaar won hij eveneens de ICMA Classeek Award en de ‘Una vita nella Musica - Giovani’-prijs van het Teatro La Fenice in Venetië. In 2024 behaalde hij de Tweede Prijs, de publieksprijs en de prijs voor beste sonate op de George Enescu Competition. Daarnaast won hij in 2022 de Eerste Prijs, de prijs voor beste sonate en twee speciale prijzen op de Khachaturianwedstrijd. Hij trad reeds op jonge leeftijd op met orkesten als de Düsseldorfer Philharmoniker, de Graz Philharmonic en het Armenian State Symphony Orchestra onder leiding van dirigenten als Kazuki Yamada en Hubert Soudant.
