Shiori Kuwahara studeerde in 2018 af aan de Tokyo University of the Arts, waarna ze haar masterdiploma en Konzertexamen met de hoogste onderscheiding behaalde aan de Universität der Künste Berlin bij Klaus Hellwig. In 2022 ontving ze de Steinway Förderpreis Berlin. Tussen 2016 en 2021 won ze de Tweede Prijs van de Maria Canals-, Viotti-, Busoni- en Rubinsteinwedstrijden, waarbij ze op zowel de Viotti- als de Busoniwedstrijden ook speciale prijzen won voor uitmuntende uitvoeringen. Ze heeft opgetreden in de VS, Japan, Korea en doorheen Europa, onder andere op het 76e International Chopin Festival in Polen en als soliste in de Rudolfinum Dvořák Hall in Praag. Als soliste trad ze op met orkesten als het Israel Camerata Jerusalem, het Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, het New Japan Philharmonic, het Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, het Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, het Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, het Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra en het Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra.
