Whether you are a virtuoso or a music student, don't miss out on the Queen Elisabeth Competition for piano 2021. For the first time in the history of the Competition you can experience the final on the live streaming platform Twitch!

Host : Timothy Chooi Throughout the week of the final, from Monday May 24 to Saturday May 29, watch and chat with the host of this session, the young violinist
Timothy Chooi, Second Laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Violin Competition in 2019. He promises you lively and fascinating chats with his guests, all former laureates of the Competition : Rémi Geniet (France), Takashi Sato (Japan), Mariangela Vacatello (Italy), Christine Lee (Korea), Nikki Chooi (Canada, brother of Timothy), Henry Kramer (USA) & David Fung (Australia). What to expect? For two hours, Timothy Chooi will provide live commentary on the performance of the day's finalist. With his guest he will talk about the music and about the works, the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the piano, music competitions in general, the consequences of the pandemic on the lives of music students, studies, professional choices, the difficulties of living as a musician today. They will of course also highlight the best moments of the concert and make a ranking of the six finalists. Through the chat you will be able to discuss with other musicians and music lovers from all over the world. Social platform The Queen Elisabeth Competition was the first international music competition to live stream the candidates' performances. During this pandemic year, we are renewing our offer to reach even more young musicians through social networks. Thanks to streaming, more and more young people are listening to classical music. By broadcasting on Twitch, we want to offer young people a platform to share their opinions, to meet and discuss.
